March is Social Work Month. To celebrate, Buffalo State College’s Social Work department hosts a Conference every other year. This Conference highlights the work being done in the community.
The 2018 Conference theme is Dignity & Worth of Diversity & Difference in our community.
Community agencies tabled at the Conference, spoke with students, and shared information.
Representatives from several community partners shared their knowledge and experience.
Several of our faculty talked about their research and areas of interest.
Phi Alpha held a bake sale!
Campus resources and programs came out to support the event!
Buffalo State College’s Anne Frank Project started the Conference off with their powerful performance, “The Space Between.” They demonstrated the value and importance of letting your inner truth be your activism.
Dr. Zittel-Barr sold rock art to raise funds for the Social Work Foundation.
Joe Stevens & Mouths of Babes performed on Friday.
Saturday evening, Jennifer Knapp ended the conference with her engaging performance.
